Privacy policy

In short: the website doesn't track you, and asks you for nothing unless you sign up for the beta. Veora apps work on your PC, and your captures, files and settings stay there.

The beta

If you join the beta waitlist, we keep:

We only use this to run the beta: choosing testers, writing to you about the beta, and giving you access to the downloads page. We do this with your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and you can withdraw it at any time.

This information is stored by Cloudflare, our hosting provider. When someone signs up, we get a notification on Discord that shows the apps chosen, but not your address. To limit abuse, the website also keeps a fingerprint of your IP address for one minute.

To open the testers' page, you enter your email address and Cloudflare sends you a sign-in code: that's how we check that the address is really yours.

We delete this information at the end of the beta, or sooner if you ask us at [email protected].

When you write to us

If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and your message. We only use them to reply to you, and we don't share them with anyone.

Messages go through Cloudflare's email forwarding service and arrive in a Gmail (Google) inbox. You can ask at any time for your messages to be deleted.

Veora apps

Cap+ Studio, Tab+ Studio and Mix+ Studio run on your PC:

Updates. Cap+ Studio checks for a new version by contacting the server where its versions are published. Just like when you visit a website, that server sees your PC's IP address. Once the apps are installed from the Microsoft Store, the Store handles updates, under Microsoft's rules.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted, by writing to [email protected]. We reply within one month.

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can contact the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with its date.

This is a translation. The French version is the reference.
